Privacy Law Compliance

‘The NDB scheme applies to all agencies and organisations with existing personal information security obligations under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) from 22 February 2018.’ Office of the Australian Information Commissioner

Notifiable Data Breach changes to the Australian Privacy Laws introduce an obligation to notify individuals whose personal information is involved in a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm. This notification must include recommendations about the steps individuals should take in response to the breach. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) must also be notified of eligible data breaches.

MPS offers a range of client focused and cost-effective services aimed at ensuring businesses take reasonable steps in order to develop and maintain compliance across the processes recommended by the Australian Information Commissioner.

Our consultants will work closely with you and your staff in order to develop a tailored and phased privacy law compliance strategy and ensure that you are effectively protecting against the loss of sensitive and personal company and staff related data.
