Incident Alert: Vehicle Ramming - Liverpool Victory Parade (May 27, 2025)

During Liverpool's Premier League victory parade, an incident occurred whereby a small van drove into a crowd of celebrating fans, resulting in 27 hospitalisations. One child and one adult are in serious condition. Four individuals were trapped under the vehicle and had to be rescued by firefighters.

The driver, a 53-year-old white British man from Liverpool, was arrested at the scene. Merseyside Police have confirmed that the incident is not being treated as terrorism-related and appears to be an isolated event. Authorities have urged the public to avoid speculation while investigations continue.
